(WPRI/WNAC) - THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS GOVERN THIS PROGRAM:

The training, even though it involves actual operation of the facilities at WPRI/WNAC-TV, is similar to that which would be given in a vocational school.

The training is for the benefit of the students. The student does not displace regular employees, but works under their close supervision. WPRI/WNAC-TV derives no immediate advantage from the students and may in fact have its operations impeded.

The students are not entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship. However, the internship is used as a platform for evaluation for future employment.

WPRI/WNAC-TV and the students understand that the students are not entitled to wages for the time spent training.

WPRI/WNAC-TV expects the students will respect the confidential nature of materials the students may handle during the course of an assignment, and the student may not remove company materials without discussion with the supervisor. This includes such items as listings of employees’ names, addresses and telephone numbers.

Personal interviews of all applicants will be required at the station prior to the start of the internship.

A school authorization form must be signed by a school official stating that the student is qualified academically and will abide by the terms of WPRI/WNAC-TV’s program.

The student must provide written documentation from the school on school’s letterhead stating that the student will receive academic credit.

The students are subject to all security rules established by WPRI and WNAC-TV.

WPRI/WNAC-TV expects all students to take their internship seriously.

WPRI/WNAC-TV asks the support of the school in giving us the opportunity to provide input on the final grade of the student in exchange for the internship. We reserve the right to refuse to approve completion unless our requirements are met by the student as listed on this contract.
